In April 2002,
BBTI moved to the English
Department of the University
of Birmingham with the benefit of development funding from
the Arts and Humanities Research
Council. The AHRC funding provided for three years of development
work at Birmingham.
The aims
of the Development Project - all now completed - were to:
- transfer the existing database to the Web-site
- provide enhanced search facility
- add thousands of new records
- facilitate electronic submission of data
- carry out research
projects to test the new-style BBTI
